Why do so many women blame "society" for their personal faults...like eating disorders and falling for losers?Society doesn't tell you that you have to have a ton of make up on your faces. It doesn't tell you that you have to be skinny or fat or wear the wrong clothing for your body type. It doesn't tell you that you're a loser if you don't have a boyfriend or a husband by a certain age. These are and/or should be your decisions. If you choose not to follow them, why do you blame "society"?

I understand your logic, and I agree; but so many girls these days fall victim to so much propaganda that it's difficult to tell them what they see in magazines; and other forms of media, is wrong. Some won't listen because they're stubborn and believe that they are right and we're wrong.

Young ladies look to the television for acceptance on how they look. Soceity is the television for them..

Quote your sources that tell you women blame society. Don't chalk it up to personal experience, because in my personal experience women have never blamed "society" for their shortcomings, so your personal experience doesn't mean anything.

As for picking losers, that's the woman's own fault.

As for eating disorders, society puts pressure on women to look a certain way. 50 years ago, there were much less eating disorders than there are today. While eating disorders are more about controlling your life than being skinny, girls probably wouldn't turn to eating disorders nearly as much if it wasn't for society putting pressure on us.

Actually society does in sociology it is referred to as a mores(pronounced morays) it is an unwritten rule that society blindly follows any violation is taken seriously. Look at all forms of media how many news anchors are over weight, what are the top ten movies and TV shows and how many over weight stars are in them.

Glance at the popular women's magazines Vogue, Cosmo, and W ever see and average looking unattractive woman on the cover?? What about popular men magazines Maxim and GQ any unattractive non muscular men/women on the cover??

Flash back to high school and middle school who was most popular and what students where picked on or deamed socially unacceptable to be friends with or heaven forbid someone dared to talk to them?

Why can men have more then one sexual partners but woman are viewed as sluts if they have more then one. A formidable business man can be shroud and powerful but a woman who asserts herself is witch (you can change the letter if you would like).

I hate to say it but our society judges people on there looks, how much education a person has, where they received said education, what part of town they live, what sort of work they do, and the way they talk.
